What we collect
When you create a pager, we store:
- A unique token for your pager URL
- An optional title (max 64 characters) if you add one
- Your email address if you choose email notifications
- Your Telegram ID if you connect Telegram
- Bleep timestamps when someone notifies you
How we use it
Your data is used for one purpose: sending you notifications when someone scans your QR code and taps "Notify."
We verify email addresses with a PIN code to confirm you own them. That's it.
What we don't do
- No tracking or analytics
- No cookies beyond basic session management
- No selling or sharing your data
- No marketing emails
Third parties
If you enable Telegram notifications, we send messages through the Telegram Bot API. Your Telegram ID is shared with Telegram to deliver notifications. That's the only third party involved.
Data retention
Your pager exists until you stop using it. We don't automatically delete anything.
You can remove your email or disconnect Telegram from your pager at any time. The pager itself (just a token and optional title) will remain, but it contains no personal information.
Security
- Email verification uses secure PIN comparison to prevent timing attacks
- Pager URLs use signed tokens so they can't be guessed
- All connections use HTTPS
